Saltholme

After a drive out into the hills early this morning, I had to pop to the local tip which is close to a RSPB nature reserve.

There are quite often seals resting up on the mud flatts so I thought I'd see if there were any close enough to blip. Unfortunately it was high tide and no seals were about, so I caught the nature reserve sign on my way out. You can see the Middlesbrough Transporter bridge in the background which is currently celebrating its centenary. It's the only working bridge of its type left in the UK and is quite an engineering masterpiece!
