Weather beaten

I ran along the bank of the River Ouse from Lewes toward Southease, a fairly bleak track to be honest, and the outward leg was into a fierce wind coming from the sea.

I encountered this well-worn fence post along the way, which seemed to sum up the somewhat exposed track. Colour gave paid it no favours, so I opted for a monochrome treatment, which I feel enhances the cracks and fissures of the post.
