I blame Alan Titchmarch.
It was he who said, (on my recent visit to "that" garden centre) that top dressing with compost now, when we had a gap in the weather was a good idea. It was quite late on, when I started emptying the compost bin of last year's cooking.
The fact that the bottom half of it was still frozen solid came as a shock, when my fork jarred into it.
Ah well, it was worth a try.
Did a bit of studying for the course I have this week and Ally cooked dinner.
