DOTTORE

One of the types of the Commedia dell'arte, citizen of Bologna.
The figures in the plays are all masked. And have a free scenario.
Luigi Oreffice was the owner of a Bottega d'Arte in Venice, who at the end of the afternoon received you as a friend and spotted special places for you to visit. The picture shows the Dottore-figure for a puppet-show, made by him for us.
His wife Camen Oreffice was a painter, and we saw beautiful views of Venice made by her. She happened to be a pupil of Raoul Dufy.
In search of his name I discovered now that a french film-maker Sylvain Dubois made a film in 2007, the title is: Il y a toujours une barque quelque part. A young man departs to Venice in search of an old Venitien man Luigi Oreffice. Is he dead, Is he alife?
The film, a docu, was showed in Venice in 2008.
We ourselves had heard several years ago of his dead and we found in his Bottega his son and his old helping hand.
I am curious to see the film and will try to find out if that is possible.
