Tuesday 18 January 2011: The Lighting, The Action, The Framing

For days I have been accumulating action shots of Isabelle and her beloved orange toy in the back yard. Here in Vermont, we don't have many sunny days in Winter so lighting has been a huge issue with all her shots. Today's is no exception to the rule - a bit gray for me but left it as I shot it.
Often I get a great great motion from her and it always seems to end up being a shot that she is partially out of frame and in a way that just won't work as a happy accident like this one. Framing , even when anticipating where she would be ahead of time has been a challenge. India doesn't move quite as quickly or as unpredictably as Isabelle so has been easier to shoot.
So today I think I have action and framing but lighting - blah. Would have preferred the link shot but so it goes. Onward!
Off to the post office in a snow storm. Netflix you know!
