Thursday 20 January 2011: We Three Kings...
328/365: ... this was part of a weekly challenge in the 365 group I'm part of on Flickr - the theme was multiple exposure - and it stretched me so far out of my comfort zone I feel quite wiped out now! It's Felix... times three... mooching his way home after school, wearing the crown he'd made in kindergarten whilst I carried my bag, his coat, his bag and juggled my camera all at the same time. Now *that's* multi-tasking!!
So, please don't look too closely at it as Photoshoppery isn't normally my thing and it shows! However, it's my blip today because the only time I had to take shots was when I was walking home with the kids from school and it wasn't exactly relaxing and creativity inducing. Mooch, whinge, mooch, whinge, crown falls off, whinge, mooch, fall over, cry, mooch, whinge... etc etc. And I have a migraine. So although I wasn't joining in with the whinging, my perky 'come on kids!!! Let's make this fun!' chip was defective and I was mooching with the best of 'em.
And Nick's out so I'm trying to get stuff sorted out with them - dinner, bath, storytime, bed etc - whilst feeling like poop. And then I need to bake a batch of cakes for Felix to take into school as it's the tradition when it's someone's birthday. *whimper*
Not a lot else happened today. Had a short meeting... a lo-o-o-o-o-ong meeting... a rush home to pick up the monkeys... and that's about it. Poppy's recovering well from her operation yesterday. Has been eating us out of house an' home and is little Miss Happy chops generally. She's so pleased to see us, in fact, that if I sit down she comes and sits on my chest and tramples whilst chewing my clothes. A mixture of awwww and bleurgh if ever there was one. Fortunately, Maddy has also announced to me that she knows how to do cat surgery. So, that'll save us the scary vet bills in future. Splendid stuff!
PS I am not letting Maddy, the cat and any sharp implements exist in the same room
PPS Ever.
PPPS This will be one of those images I look back on in the time ahead and cringe ever so slightly...
