Sunday 6 January 2008: The Politics of It All

Interesting New Hampshire Debates last night. I especially liked the Democrats.

You could note tension on the stage as soon as the candidates arrived. It didn't take long for the candidates to make little alliances for their own benefit. Obama and Edwards worked together to combat Clinton's criticisms, and Clinton responded with harsh words and an intense fury. Richardson began to defend himself and Hilary by noting their level of experience. When you could clearly see the tension mounting, Richardson stepped in by saying, ?I?ve been in hostage negotiations that are a lot more civil than this,? which gave the audience quite a good laugh.

Needless to say, last night's debate is now all over the news, making headlines as never before.
