Black and white

Now a library, originally 2 dwelling places. Built approx 1400 1500.
Now a grade ll listed buildings.
It has been suggested that the original buildings may have been used by local craftsmen as combined workshops + homes.

It was in the 17th century that the houses were combined to form one dwelling, possibly a farmhouse or an inn.
During the 19th century the building appears to have been divided again into 3 dwellings again until the 3 houses were combined into one building in the 20th century. It was used as an antique shop for many years + opened as a library in 1975.
