Thursday 20 January 2011: and I shall stand here and roar for eternity.....

......until you get proper embarrassed.

Well that's what he decided.

Another beautiful day and I wanted to get Sam out for another run while it was still hard under foot etc. I Gave Ali the choice: go to the 'park' or bake some cakes. Pretty good choice I thought.

He went for 'park' but obviously got confused because when he realised we weren't going to 'Marc's' he got upset, not a little bit upset but a full on melt down upset! This is one stubborn boy (I suspect he gets it from his maternal grandfather whose motto is "I wun't be druv".

I walked to the end of our street with Sam and Ali stood there and roared. I took a few photos in the hopes he would change his mind but he was still standing there roaring. In the end I picked him up and walked to the top of the next street. But I couldn't juggle him and the dog for long, so when I put him down he roared again. He roared when he was there, he roared on the way back, basically he just roared!

I began to get some very strange looks, but really it wasn't that bad, it was a beautiful day and normally he walks like a trooper! Oh well, as soon as we got in he promptly fell asleep so I think that may have had something to do with it.

So apart from psychologically damaging my child its been a pretty good day.

Proverbs 5 is a tricky one and I was miffed when I went and looked up various other peoples facebook pages etc to find they'd all avoided it. Its basically a chapter on the evils of adultery (fair enough but maybe a bit specific?) Any ho I plumped for this one:

Bless your fresh flowing fountain! Enjoy the wife you married as a young man!
Lovely as an angel, beautiful as a rose- don't ever quit taking delight in her body. Never take her for granted!

V18-19 (New Message again - I didn't feel up to talking about breasts!)

Sound advice and yes obviously I do think I am lovely as an angel and beautiful as a rose ;-)
