own safety

Instead of having to be constantly pulled back from the pile of sofa cushions impeding his access to the fireplace or discouraged from sneaking through the legs of various things or (not that he had yet, but I was waiting for it) pulling himself up on the cabinet in order to be able to gnaw at the edge the wingpiglet can now travel freely within the confines of the area defined by the barrier thing Nicky collected yesterday. Some rearrangement will be required so that he has most of the usable part of the room to roam in rather than just one corner (complete with nest, giving it more of a zoo-enclosure appearance than I'd like) and so that the barrier merely replaces the temporary barriers formed by the secondary sofa (on loan, and hopefully soon to be returned when its owners move into their new flat), the washing basket and his chair thing, turned on its side and weighted in place with a bucket of paint (sealed, and out of reach).
