Inveraray on a foggy day

The freezing fog was thick in Oban this morning , and we awoke to the sound of ships sirens as ferries edged slowly out. It was still thick at North Connel and Taynuilt where we went leafleting. But at Loch Fyne it was patchy, with the hills rising above it and at times being reflected in the perfectly still water, divided from their reality by a band of milky white. Coming down to St Catherines this view opened up - Invereray across the Loch, floating between the water, the wooded slopes and the sky.
