The Pensioner

A night for Player's

What a day. A quick trip to town and then up to see Hearts play Rangers. Even through my maroon tinted glasses I could tell that we were totally out-classed and overrun. Our keeper pulled off save after heroic save, but surely it was only a matter of time before our defence (as strong as the old castle rock, according to the song) was breached. Funny old game. It wasn't to be - and with a rare attack we scored what proved to be the winner with ten minutes left. Much hilarity to chase down a few beers.

Later down to the Corinthians for the Burns Supper. A grand event with much entertainment - high point had to be Heather's reply to the toast to the lassies which was entirely composed of a stream of nautical innuendo. I shall remember it next time I'm coming alongside.
