Digital Pinhole

I tried blending the old with the new today by removing the lens from my Canon EOS 5D Mark II and replacing it with a body cap modified with a basic pinhole .

This fundamental technique has been in use since the days of Euclid and his camera obscura in 300BC and it's kind of cool to apply ancient optics in 21st Century image making...

...even if it is only to produce some fuzzy photographs of miniature bottles on my kitchen counter.
