end of the ice age

The snow has sat on the wooden armchairs outside on the deck since November. With the recent mild weather it has began to melt.

This view captures a little of the way the snow is receding long the length of one of the arms of the Adirondac chairs. Reminded me of a strange alien pseudopod.
