Wednesday 26 January 2011: Not Everything Has a Function

"Cats are intended to teach us that not everything in nature has a function"

- Garrison Keillor

This is our cat Charlie. She doesn't catch anything (probably a good thing, with gorgeous native birds around) and doesn't even stand up to other cats coming around (to be fair, it's mainly a tom that hangs about periodically).

This is the best capture of her I've been able to get so far, as she usually gets up and moves as soon as she sees me crouch down (with or without a camera). Today she just rolled around a bit.
