Thursday 27 January 2011: Spring?

For the moment is is the only spring around.

Here in the countryside where there are no bulidings to keep the heat in it can get very cold. At the moment it is a mild January last night was only -3°, however the snow and cold are on the way.

Heating the house is hard work, we have found someone to cut the wood up (we used to do it ourselves, too old to do that now) We burn 12m3 of wood a year in 3 woodburners, kitchen, lounge and studio. That is a lot of wood to stack.

So spring is a very welcome sight.


Ps The artist of my springing stone is Pierre Jaggi, it sits just next to the fire.
