Friday 28 January 2011: Tarnished

Not my reputation. My napkin rings. Although can they technically be called 'rings' if they're square?

These were a wonderful Secret Santa present a year ago and apparently the 80%+ humidity has caused some tarnishing! I thought the patterns and colours were so beautiful that I just had to get a snap. Turns out it was the only snap I took today as I have spent most of it packing.

Only 2 boxes to show for my efforts but an entire Ikea-bag full of bubble wrap, 3 rolls (albeit small rolls) of 'black' nasty (for 'black' read 'black and festive red'!) and all of our 'nice' crockery, bedsheets and dinner party bits are finally packed. Stuff I just don't trust anyone else to do properly, and I'm starting to wonder why I dared bring them over, they survived the first trip in tact, let's just pray they make the journey back safely too!

I get the feeling the next few weeks' (months'?) Blips are going to be along the same line.

You'll be pleased to know that with almost an hour's scrubbing with a silver cloth they are now perfect, shiny... and packed :)
