Friday 28 January 2011: View with a Room

Can't hide that Friday feeling. Honest. You can't.

I spend a lot of time looking out these windows. Mostly when I should be working too.

Something about the symmetry caught my eye today though. The eight year old eMac centred on the desk with my reflection and book-ended by the big industrial vertical lines of a proper radiator. Then there's the nicely framed trees in the centre window pane and the the tiny mound of snow that's been there since the end of last November with the tracks of the tractor that's left a permanent scar as the snow was dumped there. There's a couple of crows out there too, just above the tracks, around about the same spot where a few minutes before some pit-bull-like mutt squirted out a large steaming dump, completely ignored by its cheerily whistling owner.

Summed up the week perfectly.
