Our Last Day

This is our last full day here, tomorrow we have to be away at 9.30 to travel to Picton to put the families onto the Interisland Ferry back to Wellington, then the Australian family have another few day there before flying back to Townsville....they are a little concerned as news reports indicate that cyclon Anthony is bearing down on their city scheduled for Monday morning....its the season they tell me.

This morning everyone went out into the Sounds to go scalloping while I stayed back to have "nana time" with these two. Spent more time on the beach than anywhere else, they just love the water and pottered around happy in their space.

Unfortunately, the water cut up very rough, too choppy to put the dredge down so no scallops for lunch. Instead, we went in Havelock to the "Slip Inn Restaurant" for lunch and now are watching cricket and resting.

Its been a memorable and enjoyable week up here but all good things have to end.

A long day tomorrow, travelling home, something like 8 hours
