A time for everything

O'Bannon Creek

Saturday
The morning was bright and sunny, and the temperature relatively mild, so it would have been a great day for a walk, but this week hasn't been so great on the exercise front, so I decided I really had to go and get a more intensive work out at the fitness center. However, we did stop on the way to take advantage of the sunshine and take a few photos in nearby Loveland. This shot is taken from the Little Miami Trail where it crosses over O'Bannon Creek, shortly before its confluence with the Little Miami. I have taken shots from the same spot before, at different times of the year, here and here. This evening we had an early dinner, then headed downtown to Music Hall for a Cincinnati Symphony concert. The concert was actually a sell-out, very rare these days, when most weeks the hall is barely two thirds full. It was a wonderful concert, the first half featuring Andre Watts playing a Beethoven Piano Concerto, preceded by Debussy's Printemps, while the second half featured the May Festival Chorus singing Faure's Requiem.
