Sunday 30 January 2011: Lying low
To start with I have to admit that the temperature didn't reach 50C. The thermometer is a bit wrong. It was only 42C!!!
We are all trying to keep as cool as possible, Hanna succeeding the most. She went ice-skating for most of the day and now is swimming in some neighbours' pool. While we are waiting for her to go to the beach and have a dip too.
We haven't had such weather all summer, but visitors planning to fly this week to Adelaide shouldn't worry, it is going to be below 30 on Saturday and there is also a promise of a shower or two.
