Sunday 30 January 2011: Home Sweet Gnome
I thought after the lack of sleep this week I'd have managed a few hours on the way home. Sadly not - my brain was still on overdrive and I'm not good at sleeping anywhere other than bed at the best of times. Enjoyed a couple of deep snoozes since getting home but been trying to remain conscious until proper bedtime.
It was lovely to be met by the ladies at the airport. I think Bella was a bit overwhelmed with everything - it was a long time for me, but it must have felt much longer to her. Hopefully the 9 kilos of gifts (which cost me fifty bucks in excess baggage) will go some way towards excusing my absence.
Bella's named this fellow, who I picked up from a very friendly chap at The Fairy Shop, 'Snicky Snocky'. I gave him a Blipcard (the nice friendly chap, not Snicky Snocky) so hoping he and his fairies join us soon.
He's sitting on a bit of bedtime reading I picked up for Bella, which she doesn't seem as keen on for some reason.
Back to the real world tomorrow... determined not to let the learnings of last week slip away into the Scottish dreichness.
