Sunday 30 January 2011: Across the Hudson to New Jersey
Another very pleasant day, about to become less pleasant as I make my way to the airport.
Wandered down to the Hudson first thing and saw the remnants of the ice floes. Then on for brunch with an old friend who will now be visiting Edinburgh in June. On, via the High Line, to the tail end of another brunch party (this city knows how to brunch) which incorporated spectacular views from the 20th floor roof terrace of the Empire State and downtown Manhattan.
Now to Penn Station to catch the train to EWR.
Yesterday's most notable news was reading about the fire at the Tail End fish restaurant on Leith Walk. Where will our fish suppers come from?
