Monday 31 January 2011: Spotted
339/365: Weird little huddle of ladybirds, Gedling Woods, Nottingham
*head in hands*
I do not know what is the matter with me at the moment. I take photos. I hate those photos. I take more photos. I *still* hate those photos. I process them. I can't rescue them. AAAAAARGH!!! Every day is the same at the moment and I don't know what's the matter. Is it the weather being so grey? Is it my head being a bit shattered? Is it just... dunno?! More aaaaaargh! Even as I'm posting this I'm thinking, 'maybe I shouldn't bother today... maybe if I waited until later that would make a difference'. But I know it won't. I'm just in that mood. I wish I lived somewhere photogenic. With beautiful scenery on the doorstep. Or wonderful coastal views. Where sunsets and sunrises happened in spectacular fashion. But I live just about as far from the coast as you can get in this country... am surrounded by streets and grey... and with a job and life which mean I have no time to escape 'local' and go find myself something different. Gah.
Okay. So... again... ignore this shot. It's a little bit of natural oddity I fancied recording when I went for a walk first thing this morning.
Maybe I could call this a series?
'Photos I Hate'
Exhibit 1: Boring photo of ladybirds
Exhibit 2: Blurry shot of Nottingham Contemporary
Exhibit 3: Flowers
Exhibit 4: Bit of a building
Exhibit 5: Over-processed still life
Yeah. This could work. Tomorrow I will most likely be choosing from 'Bad portrait' or 'Feet' or 'Kitten'. What to choose, what to choose?!?!?
Other things which happened today? Ermmmm. Nothing. Work stuff. Made tolerable by the fact that I was working from home. Oooh! Oooh! Just thought! Tomorrow is February which means I leave my job the next month. Which, using the Sarah Counting Method (don't count the month you're in or the month the thing you want to happen is happening)... means today is my last day in my job. YAY!!!!!!!!! :o)
Random fact of the day: Maddy has just informed me that British people have their hands in the air at festivals.
Super.
PS I am now sloping off
PPS *kicks at ground all frustrated-like*
