It Begins

Today Miss 5 is officially no longer a pre-schooler. She had her first day of school, and was beaming from ear to ear when we picked her up (she really could have done with going for the last 6 months).

I took a few pictures of her in her uniform - and with her enormous backpack - before we left home, and as we arrived at the school. I've chosen this one, as it gives a sense of scale: this little wee girl striding off towards the great big schoolhouse. ;-) It rather resonates with my memory of starting school - even down to a green door and red brick. ;-)
