Friday 4 February 2011: Faded
343/365: Me an' this Hyacinth. Faded. Both of us. Only it's prettier than me. So I blipped it.

Can hardly believe it is Friday. This week has lasted forever! Hmmm... and there was something I was going to write about... but I've completely forgotten. Am sure it'll come back to me.
Oooh! Oooh! I remember!! At work they're closing the staircase from the ground floor to the second floor (where I work) next week and in preparation they're protecting the handrails. All around the handrails loops loads of bubblewrap with tape on top to secure it. There was I, walking down the stairs with a group of others when we realised the bubblewrap popped as you ran your hand down it! Weeeeeee!!! We morphed from grown-ups to kids in seconds. Hee hee!
Well, y'know... it wasn't just us that was childish. When I was going home later, I was going down the stairs again... and this time another group of people followed behind me. The moment their hands touched the handrail... they too went 'OOOOH!!! BUBBLEWRAP!!!' and proceeded to pop and giggle their way down the stairs.
Bubblewrap is magic.
Every Friday should be wrapped in it so that no matter what you were doing, you could tap into your inner child and pop your way through most of it towards the weekend.
Right. That's going on my 'things I'll do when I rule the world' list.
That and ban Mondays. And people who play tinny music on their crappy mobile phones on the bus. And ridiculously windy weather which keeps me awake most of the night. And people who spit on the street in said windy weather and risk blowing their spittle onto the person walking behind (yes, YOU, you REVOLTING bloke who did that earlier). And shoes being dumped in the hallway for you to trip over. And people who smoke in the queue for the bus ahead of you and make you stink of their smoke. And bus drivers who drive off even though they can see you coming. And...
Good grief. Where did that rant come from?!?!?
PS I am coming down with a cold (thanks kids)
PPS I will also ban colds.
