Landing in a Crosswind

The advantages of a float plane. You always take off and land in the direction of the wind. Here our local airline is landing across the harbour instead of the usual up and down the harbour.

This is a fun approach to be on because you fly down over a narrow channel between a small long island and the shore. Then hang a right at the end of the island and land behind the vintage tug. Flying with these guys and gals is a lot more fun than a Big Bland Boring Boeing. ;-)
