Saturday 5 February 2011: Surprise in the Arugula
It may or may not be a steelblue lady bird beetle (Halmus chalybeus). I saw two of these today--I thought the first one was a drop of oil on the roof of my car, but this one in the vegetable bed was busy roaming around and was obliging enough to crawl on my finger for a minute.
