Happy New Year!

Chinese New Year started on 3rd february and runs for a good 15 days of celebration, so tonight we had a little Chinese feast (not that we need an excuse for Oriental cooking...). As soon as Mel pointed out that the fish had his tongue sticking out (Sea Bass rather than Bream) the choice of blip was easy.....

Before that it had been a grubby gull for a hungover day. Well the Iceland Gull isn't all that common round these here parts. How uncommon? About 70-80 birds a year in the UK. And we've got one of them in Edinburgh, serenely passing time on Dunsapie Loch.

There was also a very early Chiffchaff down the Figgy. Not really much else in the day other than that. Bit of DIY; bit of food shopping; bit of bread making as soon as I finish this. Oh, and watching taped Match of the Day this morning to see our remarkable four goal comeback from yesterday. Which was definitely appreciated as I sat with a cuppa and a throbbing heid.

Damned red wine. Don't get that with beer....

EDIT: Pondering watching the Superbowl tonight. Watched till half time the last couple of years (used to be a big Dolphins fan in my youth) and they've turned out to both be incredibly exciting matches. Could I be drawn into watching the whole thing? Can my body take the sleep deprivation?
