Culture

The Theatre Royal, Australia's oldest continually operating theatre. It's very pretty on the inside, has been restored several times, and almost every seat has a decent view. This is handy for those of us who can only afford the cheapest seats, and today a group of us went in to book our shows for the year. They offer a student subscription - 3 shows for $45, and every year we fail to organise ourselves enough to go on the same nights or sit near each other. This year, however, we coordinated and all turned up to book together, causing a slight queue (four people booking three shows each, takes some time). But now we're all sorted for our year of culture.

In other news, Tangled is just as good the second time (although I'm not too sure if the 3D really adds that much), and all my faith in Disney has been restored. And the sun came out this afternoon. That was nice. Tomorrow I'm going on a road trip to Richmond (in Tasmania, any journey over 15 minutes requires a packed lunch, and Richmond is at least 30 minutes away, making it a definite candidate for 'road trip'). I'm hoping for some good blipping weather - there's a gaol (jail), bridge, lolly shop, and a few other old (by Australian standards) places, so should be able to find something interesting.
