Tuesday 8 February 2011: Viewpoints
Part of me thinks that this photo is rubbish. But in my heart I love it because in monotone and made to be a bit grainy and brightened it reminds me of a beautiful Japanese silkscreen I used to own. I felt sentimental about it so decided today I would indulge my heart with this shot. It feels like art to me.
Yesterday's photograph was my favorite ever on Blip of all the shots I have posted here. I have noticed that when I love a shot it doesn't get as much attention as shots that I have a passing fancy for but no heart investment. I suppose it is all in the eye and heart of the beholder.
We all have our viewpoints and perspectives. I do, actually, believe people always tell you what those are. Joke and quips are ways of masking what is one's truth but it is truth none the less. People always show you who they are and what they believe to be true. The trick is to believe them.
