The Heart of Catalunya

Every few years, usually at times of great change (like with my career at the moment), I somehow find myself standing at the very centre of Plaza de Catalunya which is the spiritual heart of Barcelona and the region. I somehow draw inspiration and fortitude for the tasks ahead from being there. So it was today; I went along after a business lunch and stood on the very spot where the shadow of my head is. Looking straight down at my feet didn't make that great a photo, so I used my shadow to metaphorically put me at the centre. Don't ask me how I managed to get the number of 'bypassers' in shot down to only one pigeon, given there were hundreds of people and pigeons milling around, but I did!
