Thursday 10 February 2011: Praying mantis on Iceberg rose
For the first time in as long as I can remember, today I had a 5-period day. 5 periods of teaching.
I woke up this morning with a scratchy throat and very little voice.
I was nervous as to what the day would hold for a voiceless French teacher. Five hours of talking and being motivational.
Would I survive?
Of course I did.
The kids were great and I didn't have to raise my voice once. They all worked hard and I actually loved being in front of them for the whole day. I LOVE teaching and it was great to not have to worry about politics or paperwork. I just did what I do.
Turns out that I just have a wee viral throat infection. She'll be right.
Pretty exhausted now and thinking about going to bed. It's not even 8.30 pm.
Party animal that I am!
Night all.
