Thursday 10 February 2011: Oamaru
Today my sister and I left Balclutha, and headed on our way home to Christchruch.
As you can imagine we stopped at more places than we would have, had our husbands been with us. Time for us to explore a little.
We arrived at Oamaru to find this odd piece of machinery in the street.
It was called "Steampunk". Young men were posing with it, and they could barely reach the handle bars whilst standing. There was a also a train engine which had crashed off its rails! Fun in the town which has many historic buildings made of a white stone.
