Thursday 10 February 2011: Afternoon Iridescence
"No bubble is so iridescent or floats longer than that blown by the successful teacher."
- William Osler
Out on a home visit I noticed some very cool clouds, but hadn't taken my camera (wasn't going to have time). When we got back I grabbed my camera and popped out into the carpark to fire off a few shots. I was pleased to note when I looked up, that there was some nice iridescence in the clouds (I keep reading that it's rare, but I see at least small amounts of it really quite often). I've increased the saturation a bit to bring it out in the photo; the iridescence really did look like that, but the sky was a lighter shade of (pale) blue.
