Thursday 10 February 2011: Carolina Wren
This is the little Carolina wren, It threw back its little head today and sang such a nice spring song. This is a loud bird with its song, especially in spring & summer. This wren likes to tell you whenever your too close to its territory, it's rather fussy. I had a pair to start nesting in some of my gourd bird houses last year, I don't know if they ever actually laid eggs or were to busy fussing over the nest. I did enjoy hearing their call today, another sign of spring I think. (even with a bit of new snow last night)
Still recuperating very well, the knee is still a bit swollen & sore, but much much better....
