Cool Lady

You know the score, Thursday night's Mixed Doubles night so here is the latest in my tennis portrait series.

Tonight you have Marie, she was my partner for the second hour tonight and we played pretty well together, winning the first set 6-4 and 2-0 up in the second. We'll draw a veil over what happened next. Let's just say at one set all we retired to the bar.

Chatting there about Marie's history at the club, she was recounting how it was set up and although she wasn't actually one of the original instigators she was there from the start and is still doing her bit on the committee. Her depth of tennis experience certainly shows through in the way she plays, while most of us are content just to get the ball back over the net anyhow, Marie always plays a "proper" shot which makes her a formidable opponent or as tonight a dependable partner. She also takes a very cool looking portrait after over an hour's tennis!
