Dales Moon rise

February sees the 1st of our biannual trips to Grassington in the Yorkshire Dales National park. At this time of the year we got to see the fantastic show of snowdrops in Linton Village and then have a walk up the River Wharfe to Conistone then up Conistone Dib a narrow limestone gorge and back along the Dales Way long distance path into Grassington. The day started grey so we visited our favourite farmers market on the way to buy smoked trout, true grit cheese and some Aberdeen Angus beef. By the time we started the walk the mist had vanished and the sun was out. In fact warm enough to get get my legs out at lunchtime. Mrs Wild did half the walk with 1/2doz free range eggs we picked up from a farmers gate at £1.25 they were a bargain. We visited here to get sweets and I did the last 2 miles with 3 bottles of beer in my sac bought from the off licence in Grassington, they have a good selection and are brews I have not seen before.
