Saturday 12 February 2011: I build Myself up, & Fly around in Circles...
Tooli and I have had a lazy day today.
We didn't rise until mid-day; Tooli tired from two sleepless nights with her friends on a little Island across the water from us, celebrating the end of their Preliminary Exams, me tired from an achy shoulder, and sitting up watching Boy playing volleyball.
She went for a run, I tried to find the energy to wash the dishes.
Nant popped round for a visit, and then we went food shopping.
It's been ages since we had some "her and me" time and despite it being household related, I loved it. I was supposed to be going out with my mum, for some her and me time, but it would either be me holding my head up, or stoned on painkillers: easier to lay on cushions supporting my head.
When we had finally finished the shopping, she asked if my shop normally consisted of so much conversation with people. We met one of her Dad's fellow Scout Leaders, we met an old neighbour with a grand child, who I delighted by joining in her ballet demonstration, we met someone she plays volleyball with, we met my son's best friend's mum - we are both missing my boy! - We have joint ownership of both our boys. She had quite enjoyed it.
Then we came home, and I made Caesar Salad Toasted Baguettes for tea, and we have sat and drunk cups of tea, and watched bad TV. I'm ready for bed... She is not. She has made up her lack of sleep, and is content to watch TV all night I fear.
Her eyes are alive and alert, and show no signs of two sleepless nights! Me on the other hand, I have resorted to Baggy Eye Gel, and Eye Drops, to try and make my eyes sparkle and look less tired.
I'm getting old I figure. But on Monday, I am going to begin work on my transformation.
