Saturday 12 February 2011: Up the Tracks
Up early to get some product for the roof. Then an amble round town awhile before heading back to get up there and do the business. Manly stuff. Don't you wish your boyfriend was useful like me, eh? An opportunity for a shot along the tracks up to the rugby pitches at Meggetland. Headed down town afterwards and Scotland had already fallen well behind at the rugby as I saw on the big screen on Lothian Road - I wasn't surprised, having witnessed the pipe band playing Flower of Scotland and the crowd attempting to join in (but when does the dirge actually start?). What an embarrassing shambles. At least football has got something right - just get Amy Macdonald along to belt it out.
Later, took in True Grit at the Filmhouse - a good bit of entertainment. You can't beat those huge horizons with some classic western soundtrack music. And a wee Macallan in the Waverley to finish up.
