Monday 14 February 2011: Heart-shaped...
353/365: ... or dinosaur shaped... or 'is it a dog?' said my unromantic children. But I saw a heart. For a fleeting moment... I saw a heart. Then it turned into a fat pony chasing a sheep. Hardly fitting for Valentine's Day though, so you get this. The heart-shaped-dinosaur-shaped-dog-shaped cloud.
Which I saw because I'd left work early and will take the rest of the week off (with the exception of tomorrow morning when I'm running a workshop). I also have another migraine so am typing this with one eye closed (I get double-vision with migraines) and will try to get to see the doctor tomorrow or Wednesday as this is the fourth one in about five days and they're getting worse.
Anyway, boring medical and cloudchasing interlude done... what has Valentine's Day brought me this year? Well... first of all it brought me emptying the dishwasher, then loading it with dirty dishes, then making some soup for packed lunches, then the chaos of getting the kids ready and a disastrous attempt to try to give my husband some choccies which I'm going to pretend never happened... and... that was it. Well, that's the bit up until breakfast, the rest of the day continued in just about the same vein. Romantic, huh?
Also had a decidedly unromantic meeting at work, but which did manage to air some issues which badly needed airing. Then duly got swept under the carpet. And so it goes on. At least having left work early, I could catch up on a spot of prep for tomorrow and spend a bit of time with Nick and Felix (who doesn't go to Kindergarten on Mondays). I really do need a bit of space at the mo, I think.
Oh, and before I forget... here's the late breaking Maddy weirdness of the day. This morning I found her dressed only in a t-shirt and pants, carrying around the tea loaf she'd made yesterday. She'd wrapped it in a vest and put a necklace on it and it was her baby.
Don't. Ask.
PS Yes, I did nearly blip the weird photo I took of Maddy and the cake
PPS But I haven't because even I have limits. Not many, mind you... :o)
