Nuthatch

Been a bit of a feeding frenzy at the feeder at my office window. Tis interesting to watch the different feeding techniques. The Robin will flit in have a quick look round grab and then zip away, the blue and great tits are straight in and out after weighing up the options sat in the nearby oak tree. The Greenfinch is bold as brass and will happily perch on the feeder daintily shelling sunflower seeds. Nuthatch is the messiest feeder he flies in sits on the feeder edge and rifles thru the seeds 'I dont want this one , I dont want that one' throwing them out of the feeder then eventually selects what he wants and is away. The wood pidgeon and collared dove pick up the discarded seeds if the local rat don't get them first. Only an hour and 10 to go before the Friday 5 o'clock dash for the door.
