Sunday 20 February 2011: Naked ladies in the garden bed!

These lovely pink flowers are called naked ladies because they put up tall flowering spikes with no leaves, the leaves coming later.

They are soft pink or white usually and are from Amaryllis from the belladonna family, they have bulbs about 5-10cm and flower in late summer.
