A shaky shot but then no wonder given it is of one of the most notorious favelas in Rio; at least until it was liberated from the drug barons in a mortal gun fight last November. Life in it is immeasurably better now, say the inhabitants.
Shot, no pun intended, from the front seat of our builder's car as he brought us back into town after choosing taps and sinks in the Brazilian equivalent of Homebase!

It may seem a lazy shot, but I stand by it as my shot of the day; I played with the cropping and the saturation but again liked this SOTP photo best!
