Salmon for Sunday Dinner

We're back in Paris, and have welcomed Andrea and Lee, American cousins visiting from Frankfort, where they work for the U.S. government.

They're staying with us for the long weekend (it's Washington's birthday across the pond). Our long-time friend from Paris (Thierry, front left) joined us this evening. The first course was curried zucchini soup, followed by salmon with roasted cauliflower, salad, and a superb chestnut cake (a first for us), served with vanilla ice cream.

As you can gather, Marylee loves to cook, and she does it very well.

Backblipped the next morning, due to an unforeseen event: on the runup to dinner I changed a bulb, the electricity went out, and I found one set of circuit breakers which did nothing. Our concierge (bless her soul) had to come and point out the second set with the master breaker, in a closet behind hanging coats. That worked--whew!
