Tuesday 22 February 2011: Going slowly dotty...

361/365: ... a la these shoes which are a little bit battered, but very much loved by Maddy. And always left lying around for a quick blip especially on what is to be referred to henceforth as 'the day I couldn't take a shot in focus'... mainly because I hadn't noticed that I'd knocked the viewfinder diopter and had instead convinced myself that I must be going blind.

The Idiot Award for 2011... goes to... ME!

In the end, I faffed about with my Lensbaby as it's kinda supposed to be artistically blurry which gave me some leeway. Until I suddenly had a lightbulb moment, spotted what I'd done and finally adjusted it so that miraculously, I could 'see properly' again. Plank. Utter plank. And then, of course, deleted just about every other photo I'd taken because they were all tosh.

Anyhoo - other than my brief flirtation with blindness, I've had a bit of a 'slobbing around' day today. Haven't felt brilliantly well and nearly had a fainting fit in the supermarket which was kinda embarrassing. Obviously going supermarket shopping when you're not feeling great isn't massively sensible, but I'm not renowned for making great decisions where I'm concerned!

Have also done a bit of a baking (since shopping and photography weren't going well!). Made a couple of loaves, prepared a Summer Pudding for tomorrow (with frozen fruit before you think I've gone mad!), supervised Maddy Moo making a cake, cooked a veggie sausage casserole and did some baked apples with 'made-up hope it tastes okay' filling.

And watched Babe with the kids. And added Babe to the list of films that the kids are frightened of and that I've cried at.

Better get dinner out of the oven. Felix is hungry and making naggy noises! He's also been playing I Spy today... the game goes like this:

Nick: I spy with my little eye, something beginning with 'C'
Felix: Errrrr...
Me: Curtain...
Nick: It goes tick tock...
Me: Clock!
Felix: [outraged and pointing at the clock] *That* doesn't begin with 'C', it's a 'tick tock timer'!!!!

PS This blip looks as if I've just chucked random words at the page
PPS Pfff! *walks off in disgust*
PPPS I plan to scrape the blip barrel all the way to 365 blips. If you think this is bad... wait until tomorrow! :o)
