Thursday 24 February 2011: a lovely day with a silly ending

So.... day off, no Bob, Just me and Ali and a whole day.

I thought it might be nice to go somewhere on the train, so we set off this morning for Settle. When I am old and retired I would like to live in a town just like Settle. It seems to have at least 3 shops devoted to general garden paraphernalia:-)

Anyway Ali and I had a picnic in the park and then wandered round town went into a bike shop (nice) and a lovely toyshop and didn't buy anything (my speciality) then wandered back to the station.

It was difficult to choose which blip because settle station is lovely and I took some quite nice shots of it. but in the end went with the one with Ali which I have tinkered with as it was horribly over exposed... so its probably not a great shot. But it sums up my day with my littlest boy :-)

Of course I then went and spoiled it all by not going straight home when we got back into Skipton. I dragged him to the bowling alley where I booked Bob's birthday party and then dragged him to Tescos for essential dog food and toilet rolls! He was so shattered and wailed all the way home. I needed to give him a cuddle but couldn't because I was so laden with toilet rolls and dog food! Nightmare.

He's now sleeping his exhaustion off upstairs and I still need to get some Euros for the trip to see Wendy tomorrow. I always try to squeeze too much in. you'd have thought I would have learnt by now! poor boy, what it is to be saddled with a mother like me!
