Royal Visit , St Andrews

At the launch of the St Andrews University 600th Anniversary Appeal by Prince William & Kate Middleton. But despite being at the small private reception in the Principal's house beforehand and having a great seat at the front facing the podium during the ceremony the "no photographs" rule meant that this was as close as I got with a lens.

It was taken as I walked with the other guests to the official lunch in Parliament Hall whilst the Royals met the very large waiting crowd - so they are somewhere in that distant throng!

A lovely day none the less and the sun was almost warm in the quadrangle.
