Sunday 27 February 2011: A very interesting museum

Awoke again to stillness and silence (I could get used to this!). Weather still awful :-(

Over breakfast I was introduced to George's research topic which is all about neuroscience, and involves him contributing to 'the Matrix' ie virtual reality and allowing blind people to see and deaf people to hear and possibly creating an alternative virtual reality so we could all experience amazing things without leaving the comfort of our arm chair! felt a bit tired after that :-)

Anyway Wendy and I decided the best thing to do would be to go to the Nijmegan Museum especially as she still had a free entry pass. It was really interesting I only wish I could speak dutch to work out what everything was! There was a mixture of archeological finds with some brilliant art, tapestries and a brilliant photography exhibition

This was one of the sculpture exhibits in the museum. I wish I could tell you who had made it or what it was about but due to my ignorance in dutch, I have no idea. but it caught my eye as a pleasing shape with a lot of lenses embedded within it.

Tonight we are off to eat crocodile and kangaroo apparently! and tomorrow I fly home and back to reality....
