Wednesday 26 January 2011: So kind, yet so cruel

A lovely surprise celebration in advance of my half a century which I had intended to hide away for, and perhaps from. Lovely cake, balloons, presents, pink fizz - and then a cruel reminder of my eligibility for Saga holidays and, as one kindly colleague put it, that I can now join in the over fifties exercise classes. Not that I'm touchy about it
